The EPS-1XPB-15C-GAP from is an Explosion Proof Push Button Action Switch that is Class I Divisions 1 & 2 and Class II Divisions 1 & 2 rated for Hazardous locations and certified to UL 698. This explosion proof button provides manual starting and stopping of small AC and DC motors. Equipped with 15` of 16/3 SOOW cord and industrial cord cap, this unit allows operators to install this switch inline for manual starting and stopping of motors within hazardous locations.
The EPS-1XPB-15C-GAP explosion proof action push button switch is factory sealed, eliminating the need for adding sealing fittings and compound at each conduit entrance. This unit is built to be heavy duty, and is rated for 10 amps at 250 Volts. This unit is designed to allow operators to hard wire or connect this unit as an inline switch via the 1/2" or 3/4" NPT hub. The input voltage side is equipped with 15` of 16/3 SOOW cord and terminated in a gen app cord cap for use outside the hazardous location.
The switch is enclosed in a separate sealing chamber and the sealing chamber has smooth, double flanges that mate both to the cover and the mounting enclosure to provide flame tight joints. The pigtail leads from the push button are factory sealed in a sealing well. The screws consist of stainless steel hex head screws and attach the sealing chamber to cover and mounting enclosure. The side rocker arm push button has lockout holes, and the switches are supplied with an internal ground screw.
The EPS-1XPB-15C-GAP housing is made out of a malleable iron body with a cast copper free aluminum alloy cover, and is epoxy powder coated for a natural finish. This switch is in compliance with UL 698 and is rated for Class I Divisions 1 & 2 Groups C & D, Class I Zones 1 & 2 Groups IIA & IIB, Class II Divisions 1 & 2 Groups E, F & G, and Class III Divisions 1 & 2.
